Makita Impact Driver 18V Vs 40V

I have recently upgraded my Makita gear from 18v to 40v but was it worth it? Kinda...

Some of the stuff the 40V stuff is great but some of it is not worth the cost or additional weight they all carry

For the impact driver ,40v Impact driver is definitely more powerful ,40v lasts longer but it is significantly heavier and slightly bigger for a tool you may be using all day over head or in awkward positions it does add up over time and may be worth considering.

What is better? It depends really if you are putting up gyprock sheets all day stick to the 18v if you are bugling down a whole roof the 40v would be the go. If I had to choose one driver to use for the rest of my work life I think I would honestly stick with the 18v brushless impact, but if you need multiple drivers the 40v is well worth having in the kit
